What Is a Web Proxy?
A web proxy is a website that opens other websites for you. You give it an address, it loads the page on its own server, and it shows you the result. If your internet provider blocks the original address, the block never touches the request, because your connection only ever goes to the proxy.

Why blocks happen
Why Are Websites Blocked in Pakistan?
Most blocks have nothing to do with you personally. They sit in the network between you and the website, and there are three common sources.
Provider and regulator blocks. Pakistani internet providers apply block lists supplied by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The regulator reports blocking well over a million URLs, most of them under its decency and morality category. The site is not down; the route to it is closed. School, campus and office filters. Shared networks block whole categories by default. These filters are blunt: they block the domain, not the specific page.
Walls on the website's side. Some sites decide what to show based on the visitor's country or the age-verification laws of a region. Those are not network blocks, and a proxy can only help when the block is on your side of the connection.

Honest limits
What a Web Proxy Cannot Do
A tool is only useful if you know where it stops, so here are the limits plainly.
It does not hide you from your provider. The website sees our server, but your internet provider can still see that you connected to PR Proxy. For provider-level privacy you need a VPN.
Some sites refuse proxies. Websites that run robot checks or restrict by server location can refuse requests from hosting servers. The page may open while the video player sits on "loading" because the player's data request was refused. No proxy can get past that.
Never use it for sensitive logins. A proxy is a middleman. Do not enter banking details or important passwords through any proxy, ours included.

Is a Free Web Proxy Safe?
For casual browsing, yes, with two caveats.
What it protects: the website never sees your IP address or location, only the proxy server's. The landing page also keeps no history of the addresses you enter.
What it doesn't protect: your provider can still see you connect to the proxy, and, like any middleman, a proxy could see unencrypted traffic. Never type banking passwords into a proxied page.
